Public Welcome at Midwest Cream Cheese Competition on Saturday December 1st
The Beaver Dam Chamber of Commerce and Kraft Heinz Company are proud to promote cheese products at our Midwest Cream Cheese Competition (MCCC) on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at the St. Katharine Drexel Parish (SKDP) Center in downtown Beaver Dam. Cheese is the official dairy product of the State of Wisconsin.
The Presenting Sponsor of the MCCC each year is the Kraft Heinz Company plant that produces over one half of all Philadelphia Brand Cream Cheese produced in North America, right here in Beaver Dam.
The public is welcome to view the judging in each of the three contests in the competition, free of charge. After judging the entries from each contest are apportioned for tasting, and given free of charge, to the public.
Judging in the “Best New Cream Cheese Recipe Contest” – which can be any cream cheese recipe that is not a dip or cheesecake, begins at Noon on Saturday, December 1st at the SKDP Center at the corner of Mill and S. Spring Streets. The “Greatest Cream Cheese Dip Contest” judging will begin at 1:00 pm. The judging for the “Ultimate Cheesecake Contest” begins at 2:00 pm. Tastes from each contest should be available beginning approximately 40 minutes after the judging begins for each competition. Awards will be announced for this year’s winning recipes/entries beginning about 4:00 pm at the SKDP Center.
There are a few copies of the First Edition of the “Best of the Midwest Cream Cheese Competition Cookbook” that will be available for sale at this year’s event.
